This is a company policy we have with all third party providers. Being such a large agency with 12 active agents we have encountered challenges in the past with agents selling properties and then being asked to pay 20% referral because a different agent within the office also was sent that lead previously and didn’t list it. It caused us to completely stop using third party providers all together for quite some time. Our current arrangement with Open Agent is that all leads will be sent to me as the lead agent and I am then taking one of the other agents to the appointment with me as a co-listing agent. Once the property is listed and transacted then the secondary agent is bringing the property to settlement and being paid for the deal. I would ask that we move forward with the same arrangement. All leads are allocated on a roster within our office. This is about the fairest system we have been able to implement and means we don’t have internal conflict. I realise you will need to put me down as the preferred agent so please let me know what information you require.
